Executive Directors
Local Care Direct’s Board is accountable to the organisation’s members and regards strong corporate governance as being fundamental to this responsibility.
The Board’s principal role is to focus on the LCD strategy and ensure that the necessary resources are in place for the organisation to meet its objectives and that clinical, financial and risk management procedures are robust. In particular, its role is to provide general direction to the organisation and to ensure that it fulfils its primary purpose of providing health and social care for the benefit of the community.

Dr. Saskia de Mowbray, Lead GP & Deputy Clinical Director
Saskia qualified as a doctor at Leeds University in 1988. She has extensive experience of both General Practice and Emergency Medicine, having worked for 10 years in Bradford in both of these specialties. She joined Local Care Direct in January 2005.

Emma Wilson, Chief Executive
Emma has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. Her NHS career embraced financial management in secondary care, 12 years in primary care, performance development management within a health authority, project management and service integration.

Andrew Nutter, Deputy Chief Executive
Andrew started his career as a journalist before moving into public relations with British Gas and later, Royal Mail. He left Royal Mail in 2004 to start his own communications and change management consultancy and, after working with Local Care Direct on a consultancy basis, joined the organisation permanently in 2005.

Fran Robinson, Director of Operations
Fran has extensive management experience in both the private and healthcare sectors and has professional qualifications in business management and human resource development. She also has long experience in the design and implementation of information management systems.

Helen Carr, Finance Director
Helen has over 10 years post qualifying experience as a Chartered Accountant. She has extensive experience in practice and industry and in a wide variety of corporate structures, PLCs, private companies and social enterprises.

Cate Anderson, Head of Nursing
Cate's long and varied nursing career spans primary and secondary care and includes extensive nurse leadership and management experience in both the NHS and private sectors. For the past 15 years, she has focused on General Medical Services in a number of roles including health authority Lead Nurse. Cate has also been involved in the development and delivery of nurse education programmes for a number of years.
